Jonathan Ellenberger

Jonathan has extensive first hand market experience. He worked at various South African stockbrokers, designing valuation models for bond portfolio risk management, as well as trading directly. He set up the FI derivative desk for Martin and Co., a large brokerage house in Johannesburg, and recognised the need for a derivative pricing system. He left to launch RATT-Pac, the origin of the Risk101 brand in 1987. After a successful seventeen years in SA, having built a business of large local customers as well as all of the UK emerging market trading desks, he emigrated to Australia in 2004. He currently heads up the UK-Europe division of Risk101, and oversees the global portfolio.

After spending three years in Engineering, Alun joined Risk101 in 2001. He is responsible for all the formulae and algorithms that form the brain engine of Risk101. He is the in-house specialist in pricing and modeling Fixed Interest and their derivative products.

Sarah has been directly involved in the financial markets since 1984. She worked as an interest-rate analyst at ESKOM, and partnered a bond derivative trading and broking operation at ABN AMRO for over fourteen years – relying on the Risk101 valuation system throughout. She joined Risk101 in 2004 to manage South African operations and the global marketing portfolio. In recent years she has focussed on carbon trading and the Ozone3 system, and the support and maintenance of UK and Europe based clients.
Alex Gabriel

Alex taught music for twelve years, and still works actively as a performing musician. Having decided to redirect his career in 2003, he studied part-time for his CFA before joining Risk101 in 2006. He was made director in 2009. He is one of the key Risk101 programmers, and is also responsible for client support and product development.
Gaby Linscheid

Gaby is the Director of Risk101 USA, and has been involved in the financial markets since the mid-eighties. She used the original Risk101 system to manage a hugely successful derivative book the volatile markets of ’97/’98. She moved to Charlotte, NC to consolidate the Risk101 footprint in America.

Paul Sorati

Paul started his career at the Australia and New Zealand Banking Group, then became Senior Performance Analyst at National Australia Bank, before spending six years at BGI. He completed his time there as Project Manager on the global implementation of an investment performance and attribution system. He then spent some time as Founder-Director of a start-up business, and then 5 years as a Director at BlackRock, as Distribution COO. Paul is well-placed to bring this wealth of experience to the Risk101 Asia Pacific portfolio.
Jeannie Long

Jeannie heads up the UK office for Risk101. Jeannie’s experience is in banking on the Forex desk of a major South African clearing bank. She moved into programming in 1985 with AECI and Centre-file (NatWest bank’s computer division), and then joined Risk101 in 1995 in support and marketing. She operates closely with Risk 101’s Australian and South African offices, who have benefitted from her wide advertising and marketing expertise in recent years.
Tracy Bell

Tracy headed up the Financial IT department at Firstcorp and First Derivatives SA for eight years, in a position that was responsible for some 400 terminals. She has been with Risk101 for 9 years, bringing her extensive experience in training and networking to the table.
